Just finished an epic 15 days trip covering over 4500 km in western part of China. Absolutely had a blast and the scenery along the way were some of the most breathtaking (literally and figuratively) sceneries I've ever seen: the diversity of landscape, biomes, from swiss-like forests and snow-capped mountains, deserts at the altitute of over 4500 meters above sea level, glaciers, grand canyons, to the gorgeous peaks rising above the barren plateau. We started in Lijiang, passed by Meili snow mountains and into Tibet, stopped in Lhasa for a quick break before headed further west into Shigatse (where we went to Mount Everest basecamp!), stopped right in front of Mount Cho Oyu, and eventually into Ngari, where we spent two days completing the trek circling Mount Kailash (Gang Rinpoche), covering 53 kilometers.
