I've been thinking about doing more traveling and one thing I've noticed is that almost everyone seems to have a story about a mistake they made that taught them a valuable lesson.
Whether it was booking the wrong accommodation, overpacking, missing a flight or exchanging money at a terrible rate its just having unrealistic expectations and it seems like those experiences stick with people.
The other night I was on my laptop researching destinations, comparing flights for a bit and it got me wondering what travel lessons people only learn the hard way if you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice before your first big trip, what would it be?
