What in-flight comfort items actually helped on a long-haul flight?

I have a long-haul flight coming up soon and I’m trying to figure out what comfort items are actually worth buying before I go. I keep seeing the same stuff recommended everywhere like neck pillows, compression socks, eye masks, foot hammocks, noise-canceling headphones, little toiletry kits, and random travel gadgets, but I honestly can’t tell what makes a real difference and what just ends up taking space in your bag.

I’m not trying to overpack, but I also don’t want to be miserable for 10+ hours if a few small things would help. Sleep is usually hard for me on planes, and I get pretty stiff after sitting that long.

For people who fly long-haul often, what items genuinely made your flight more comfortable? Were there any things you bought that you thought would help but ended up being useless?
