What are some one and done places that youve visited?

These are places that you’ve been to that you have no desire to return to.

I can think of three. I didn’t hate them, but I don’t really want to go back.

Chiang Mai. It was chaotic, dirty looking, overrun with tourists, and quite frankly I found it boring. The old part of the city with the temples was kind of interesting, but that’s about it. I went in 2017 and public transportation was basically nonexistent. I didn’t feel safe riding in tuk tuks and songthaews. It was cheap and the food was good, but that’s about it. I spend a week there and was ready to leave.
Penang. The food was excellent and the big temple was interesting. I stayed for a week, but three days would have been plenty. The beach was mediocre, the water wasn’t pretty, and the island itself just isn’t that big.
Montevideo and really Uruguay in general. I had just spent 10 days in Buenos Aires and felt like I would have enjoyed spending a month there, and then I took the ferry to Montevideo. There was a lot of graffiti and a lot of homeless people, public transportation consisted of buses, and quite frankly the city was just boring. I was there for three days and thought that was too much time. I took a bus to Colonia and the main sights only took about three hours to visit, but the bus ride from Montevideo was about five hours round trip. I just can’t imagine wanting to go back.
