This post is about my Vietnam trip from 21 feb to 28 feb in 2023, took vietjet airlines on delhi-danang-delhi route...
The trip consists of two cities, Danang and hanoi, I went with my cousin , so expenses are of two people. For cash i used niyo global card at vpn bank atm , got conversion rate of 287 vnd...
Day 1 - After immigration , took grab taxi to city for 103K , bought sim for 120K (2gb/day data) , and scooter for 100K per day , then i went to my homestay which i booked from booking.com for 315K for two nights...
Homestay was good and the owner was connected through whatsapp all the time, its far from city centre but near to beach. Add - Tina homestay , 57 Lý Tử Tấn, Danang, Vietnam. After a while i went to "my khe" beach , stayed there for some time , then went to nearby supermarket for some groceries and then in eve went to c some local markets...
Day 2 - Went to "bana hills" with the scooter, stayed full day there, bought tickets for 1700K vnd for two people, and returned back in the eve, then went to a turkish restaurant for dinner, the food was great and tasty , i had chicken wings with rice , baklava and a turkish tea. Bill was 270K vnd...
Day 3 - Checked out from homestay, and explored the rest of places with scooter and in the afternoon, returned the scooter, took grab taxi and went to bus station to get a bus for Hanoi...
Bus timing is 7:30 pm from danang to hanoi but the ticket counter closes at 6pm. i took futa Bus, bus was spacious with enough leg room and comfortable beds , ac and wifi , fare was 800K for two people and grab charges was 103K...
Day 4 - Reached hanoi at 9am, took grab to old quarters hostel, booked the " hanoi ecostay 1 hostel" for 600K for two nights for two people, after a while went to the market, tried "egg coffee" for 25K , then headed to the lake nearby , St. cathedral church , famous Train station market and had lunch there and stayed there to c train coming...
Lunch was for 140K for two people. They don't allow to the market without having something to spend there, u have to order either coffee or lunch, to excess the area. Add - Hanoi ecostay 1 hostel , 38 Hang Giay, Hang Buom, Hoan Kiem, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, Vietnam...
After that, in the eve , i found out an Indian restaurant near my hostel, "aalishan, had a great time there, owner "mehtab" who was from orissa , interacted and helped me to book the tour for halong bay. Bill was 200K for dal makhani, aloo and gobi parantha and chapatis. Add - Aalishan Indian Restaurant - 37B Hàng Thùng - Nhà Hàng Ấn Độ...
Day 5 - Went to halong bay from ocean sun tours with dragon cruise, bought the package for 1700K for two people, includes bus transfers, lunch , kayaking/boat ride and visit to pearl factory...
Tour was superb , returned to city at 9pm , again went to aalishan for dinner, this time bill was 355K for two people, ordered plain dal , mix veg, chapatis and cold drink.
Then went to beer market as it sunday night, fully crowded and beat thumping, stayed there till midnight...
Day 6 - Explored rest of the area and local sightseeings and went to "quan thanh temple" walking, around 4kms from old quarters but took local bus while returning, checked out from hostel , took grab and went to bus station for danang bus...
Temple charges were 10K, grab charges were 110K and took futa bus again for same 800K for two people. Bus station has lots of sitting area and it has area no. 7 that has free toilets and area no. 10 that has free charging points...
Day 7 - Reached danang at 10am , then took a grab and went to supermarket nearby for some shopping, bought dried local mangoes, vegan green sweets , some fridge magnets and some toys...
Again took grab for airport. paid 73K to supermarket and 46K for airport through grab...
