33F and 34M, recently returned from our two week self driving trip honeymoon through Namibia and it exceeded all expectations I could have ever had. We did what seemed to be the normal tourist route, Windhoek - Sesriem- Swakopmund - Khorixas - Etosha West and East - Okonjima.
We flew from a major city in the United States, which involved multiple days of travel. Most of the locals we met on drives and at coffee shops told us that it’s not often they meet folks from the United States in Namibia and that we had to spread the word. Most other tourists we met were European, which makes sense since there are direct flights from Germany and Switzerland to Windhoek.
Namibia is definitely my favorite country that I’ve visited so far. It was such an amazing adventure and felt different than anywhere I’ve ever been. Feel free to ask me any questions.
