I moved to the UK years ago, but I love returning to Western Australia whenever I get the chance. There's a lack of tourists because of how disconnected it is to other locations, which can be a blessing because of the endless wilderness you have to enjoy all to yourself.
If you're planning to visit then Perth city contains fantastic options such as King's Park overlooking the centre, Fremantle the old port town and Rottnest island just offshore where you'll find the famous Quokka.
The Southwest of the state is where you'll find the lush forests containing the massive Karri and Tingle trees (travel to the region around Pemberton and Walpole for some of the best examples).
If you want fantastic beaches just go literally anywhere on the coast, and there's a lot of coast to pick from.
