I recently had the chance to visit Odessa. It is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to, but there is obviously a bit of mixed feelings. Everybody is very friendly, and just goes on with their lives, but when you talk with people there, you notice how much of a profound effect the war has on them. It is really sad to hear this, and see the destroyed buildings.
While I was there, the air raid siren went off 2 times, and no-one even batted an eye. People remained reading in the park, walking their dog or cycling. Everybody is so used to it nowadays, they just don't bother. Hopefully peace returns soon!
