The direct flight between Narita airport in Tokyo and Barajas airport in Madrid is, since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, one of the longest regular commercial flights in the northern hemisphere. Its trajectory it always eastbound, so in the round trip it passes over Alaska, northern Canada’s islands and Greenland. I did not know that when I booked the flight neither when boarding and it was an unforgettable surprise
