Traveling to Geneva, Switzerland where else should I visit?

My daughter is doing study abroad in Geneva and an internship at the UN and I will be flying with her to drop her off in August. Where else should I visit? A couple of pieces of information:

1. We spent a week in Bavaria last summer so we wouldn’t want to do Germany again.
2. I won’t have much time probably 7-10 days. I’d like to spend 2-3 getting her settled before heading off to explore another part of Europe.
3. I’ve spent a good chunk of time exploring Italy and France so wouldn’t want those either.

So what do you suggest? Budapest? Prague? Istanbul? What would you do?
