Genuinely magical, it was everything I wanted it to be
We were based in Nice and did day trips to Menton, Monaco, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
We used public transportation to get around, it was honestly super easy just watched a few videos online and got the gist of it.
Saint Jean has these gorgeous coastal walks (pics 1-4 lol) we only did a small portion but you can walk around the whole cape from what I understand
We combined Menton and Monaco into one day trip. It was doable but the last train out of menton was showing 10 pm the night before but day of it showed like 7 pm so we had to Uber back because we had found out too late. The menton beach was much easier to swim in than the Nice beaches, considering the rocks.
I loved Nice, the old town is fun, touristy but fun, the water is beautiful, there’s so much to do. We had really positive interactions with all the locals, we were a little nervous considering the stereotypes surrounding French people but they were great! The fresh bread from bakeries and their butter were our highlights regarding food we had it for breakfast everyday
Overall we loved it, and can’t wait to be back
