Photos 1-5: Thunder Cove beach. Absolutely stunning and the cleanest beach I’ve ever seen (barely any seaweed, pure red sand, red cliffs). The ocean is magic.
Photos 6-10: Victoria-by-the-Sea, one of the more popular places to visit. Everything was closed but it was quiet and lovely. This is the lighthouse, the Lobster Barn restaurant, and the local scenery.
Photos 11-15: Charlottetown, the city. Old and beautiful. St. Dunstan’s Basilica is a well-photographed location. The Residences at Thomas Alley House, built in 1874, are now rentals but once used by the Canadian Red Cross Society and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as Headquarters. The Little Witch shop was cute as hell. There are so many unique shops like that downtown. I saw many tourists from the cruise ships walking around to see all the government buildings and the birthplace of Canada’s Confederation.
Photos 16-17: Borden-Carleton. The Confederation Bridge connects New Brunswick with Prince Edward Island. It is Canada’s longest bridge. You can get tourist photos with the lighthouse there.
Photo 18: An abandoned house in Bonshaw. The island is full of abandoned, fallen-down properties and if you enjoy hunting for abandoned places is it one of the best places for photography.
Photos 19-20: Bonshaw Hills Provincial Park. The colours of PEI are gorgeous in October. I took many photos of the trees!
Prince Edward Island is the smallest province in Canada and one of my favourite places to visit. It is slow-paced, rural and quiet, and underrated as a destination. It is challenging for Canadians to fly there as flights can be prohibitively expensive, unfortunately. But it is truly a one of a kind place. Thanks for checking out these photos!
