October 14–18, 2025, Taipei, Taiwan
Several years ago, I had planned a trip to Taiwan and even booked my flight tickets. However, shortly afterward, the COVID-19 pandemic spread, and I was forced to cancel the trip. The disappointment from that time remained, which led me to plan this trip to Taiwan once again.
In October, daytime temperatures in Taiwan reached nearly 35 degrees Celsius, making the weather quite hot. Nevertheless, it was still possible to walk around the city comfortably. This was largely due to the architectural style of many buildings, which are designed to create shaded areas that help protect pedestrians from the strong sunlight.
Over the course of five days and four nights, I explored various parts of Taipei and visited many tourist attractions. I also had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of Taiwanese cuisine. In particular, visiting different night markets every evening was a unique and memorable experience, allowing me to enjoy both the lively atmosphere and diverse street foods.
In addition to major city attractions, I was able to enjoy natural scenery and hot springs, which made my time in Taiwan especially relaxing and enjoyable. This trip became a meaningful opportunity to finally fulfill a long-held wish and make up for the disappointment of the past.
