Solo Traveled to Iraq last month as a black American. . Stayed 3 nights in Baghdad (got bit by bedbugs) and 3 nights in Erbil. Iraq was part of a multi country trip I had planned for the Middle East. I went to Baghdad/karbala/erbil . Iraq was honestly the highlight of the trip and I was pleasantly surprised at some points. Few downsides were that their Western Union banks did not give out any money, usd or dinar. Most eSIMs don’t work and getting a physical SIM card is a hassle. They also didn’t use card readers much all cash for the most part.
