Solo travel recommendations for a 24 y/o that wont destroy my wallet.

I’m 24, almost 25, and I have never left the United States. None of my friends have any interest in travel and/or can’t afford it. But I really just wanna say fuck it and travel somewhere outside the US, and very soon. I’m not rich but I’m not doing terrible, and I’m the type that’ll cheap out on most things when it’s an option. I don’t need fancy hotels or dinners or pay heavy for super touristy attractions. I mostly just wanna walk around/explore in a new place. Maybe bring my skateboard since that’s one of my loves, could meet some locals that way. I’ve never stayed in a hostel, but I’m open to that kind of thing to save money, idk if hostels are common everywhere in the world. I dont really have a direct budget, just looking to hear recommendations that can accommodate a cheap person like me to get value out of a solo trip. I really don’t know what I’m doing or what to expect traveling abroad. I guess if I was leaning one way in preferences I’d probably say Europe somewhere but I’m open to anything really
