Should I change my trip to a solo trip?

So I me and my friend have booked an almost month long vacation. (Everything is still cancellable, might be important…). Initially I booked it just for myself but then I remembered we talked with my friend a while back about going as well so we decided to link up.

It was a very spur of the moment kind of decision but to a destination where both of us really wanted to go. However now that we got to actual planning and figuring things out… I am having some second thoughts as I never actually traveled with this friend.

We couldn’t be more different when it comes to travel... They are a “I’ll do whatever you want to do.” kind of person and I am the google spreadsheet person. And well it has started to show as they haven’t shown any interest in making plans or looking up what they would want to do or see. Same with looking for/booking accommodations which I had to book for both of us and all the and all the other logistics that come with traveling overseas.

So this might be just my travel anxiety talking but I am a little afraid that the trip is going to be me being a babysitter most of the time… I also want to say that they are a great friend in all other aspects so the might pull through and the trip might go great!

So I guess the question is: should I change the trip back to a solo trip? (If so how do I tell them without sounding too much like an ass.) or do I take the chance on the two person trip? Do any of you have similar friends? If so how did the trip go?
