I visited Seville in 2023 and completely by chance arrived right in the middle of Feria de Abril. At first I felt super underdressed and a bit overwhelmed because it seemed like the whole city was dressed up and heading somewhere while I had no idea what was going on. Once I got my bearings though, I ended up having a great time and it became one of the most memorable parts of the trip.
The city was also absolutely baking during my visit with record-breaking temperatures during the month, so a lot of sightseeing involved hopping between the city and sangria in the shade whenever I could find it.
Between the architecture, the atmosphere, the food and the festival, Seville quickly became one of my favourite Spanish cities. I’d love to go back and see what it’s like when Feria isn’t on.
