Second Time in Italy

Went to Italy last year but stayed mainly in the South. This year my family was planning a trip for this June and I went along. I was really concerned that we were going to all the most touristy parts during the high season (which we were) but it was noticeably less packed than July last year.

We did 3 nights in Rome which was the perfect amount of time. We did 3 nights in Florence with a day trip to cinque terre which was beautiful but probably not worth the travel time. Florence itself was nice but I think I would have maybe swapped it given my family isn’t super into wine / the renaissance. 2 nights in Como which was probably my favorite and wish we had more time at. Como was also surprisingly the least crowded by far. Finally 2 nights in Venice, which I liked a lot more than I anticipated. I appreciated how much the city clears out at night without all of the day trippers.

Definitely going to take a break from Italy for a little bit, but Puglia or Sardinia would probably be next on my list there.
