I’m on a direct flight with a premium economy seat on Austrian Airlines from Austria to US for 9 hours, arriving around 8 or 9pm.
I’m eyeing switching to the TAP Portugal business class seat. It’s only $400 more but it has a stop, which adds an additional 3 hours of flight time. (3h45 min, plus 1.5h layover, and then 8h 15 min flight time.)
I end up back home around the same time at night, and I’m fine giving up exploration time in Austria for that morning.
Have people experienced both airlines and can share any input? I know TAP isn’t going to be as luxurious as business class on another airline, but it is a long flight and the lie flat is most of the value to me.
