Spent some time solo in France (Paris) back in June and ended up having a super great time. Really wanted to live a local experience instead of only visiting tourist attractions. Paris is such a gorgeous city. As a french speaker, I thought people were super nice (but I know it's not always the case for english speaker).
• I stayed in Paris for seven days. The terasse culture is quite incredible. Rue des Mouffetards, Le Marais and Opéra were probably my favorite places.
• Paris is incredibly expensive for a solo traveler... It is pretty hard to stay at a low budget, but lots to see without necessarily having to spend money.
• Paris didn't feel super safe. As a solo traveller, being out at night was not always a great experience.
• May/June is an incredible time to visit! Not too crowded and enjoyable weather.
