Northern Vietnam, November 2025

Pictures from my trip to Northern Vietnam in November 2025.

What a brilliant place Vietnam is, this was my second trip to the country and would love to come back again some time in the future. The Scenery is incredible, the people are lovely and even my fussy wife who was concerned about the food was very impressed with everything she ate.

We were pretty lucky in the end with the weather as we managed dodge a couple of typhoons and flooding which affected a lot of Vietnam around the time we were in the country.

The first pictures 1-7 are from when we stayed in Ninh Binh. We stayed at a beautiful resort and managed to visit Mua Caves for sunset which has got to be one of the busiest places in Vietnam on a nice night, the climb up can be tough and sweaty and the amount of people at the top is crazy but it is definitely a beautiful view. We also visited Bai Dinh Pagoda complex and the Trang A waterways which were a bit more calm.

Next (Pictures 8-10) we visited Ha Long bay on an overnight boat stay which we got picture perfect clear weather for there are a lot of boats out on the water but just cruising around for the afternoon visiting some islands and caves was brilliant. It’s as picturesque as advertised.

Lastly pictures from Hanoi 11-16 were we visited around the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and residence as well as enjoying the festivities of Train street which was a lot funner then I thought it would be. It’s a good vibe on the street at night with plenty of music and festivity.

Overall a great couple of weeks in Vietnam and plenty of delicious food and cheap beer to be had.
