After about 10 years without taking a vacation, I ended up booking a last-minute trip to Amsterdam. It was my first time ever traveling outside the Americas, so finally seeing Europe in person was pretty special. The trip was so last minute that I didn’t even get my passport until the afternoon before my flight. I wish I hadn’t waited until I was completely burnt out from work to make it happen, but I’m really glad I went. I also finally got to try real Dutch stroopwafels and Dutch pancakes, which definitely lived up to the hype.
