I'm 29F from South East France (near the "French Riviera") and I've been wanting to explore north of France for some time now.
I just came back from a solo trip to Brittany which is in North West France and 1 day in Mount Saint-Michel in Normandy very near Brittany.
It was absolutely awesome! Breathtaking views, the ocean and the beaches are incredible, the architecture is very medieval and beautiful.
My itinerary was :
Rennes - Dinard - Saint-Malo - Cancale - Pointe du Grouin - Dinan - Fort La Latte - Cap Fréhel - Île de Bréhat - Paimpol - Côte de Granit Rose - Huelgoat - Presqu'île de Crozon - Quimper - Concarneau - Pont-Aven - Carnac - Auray - Locmariaquer - Larmor-Baden - Vannes - Mont Saint-Michel - Rennes
I rented a car and the trip was very smooth. The roads are very pleasant and people drive carefully here.
The weather was usually not bad at all, just had 1 real full day of rain, otherwise it was sunny or cloudy but very agreeable temperatures.
