I'm creating plans for my next trip and I have few bad experiences with Asia and animal welfare already.
I went "traditional Chinese village" outside of Shanghai and while experience itself was nice, I encountered turtles being kept in a pots, birds hurting themselves in small cages. On Jeju Island we visited amazing botanical garden I wasn't even aware animals are there... Birds were in okay conditions but reptile enclosure was fucking disgusting. Lizards and reptiles on bare concrete, one of them had huge bubble on it's head.
I love animals and stuff like this ruins the whole experience and I don't want to support such practices.
Seems like I always need to go into google maps and check lowest rating for animal welfare...
