Granada in February

We visited Granada for the first in mid February. We spent two nights with one and a half day to explore. I think this was just the right amount of time.

Alhambra took a whole morning on the full day. We forgot our passport and they wouldn’t accept pictures of our passport on the phone. We had to walk 10-15min to the ticket office to have them reissue a physical ticket. Overall I think Alhambra is neat and has great historical significance but it was ok as a tourist site. The Alcazaba and Palace of Charles of Alhambra were the best parts. Many interior spaces were fenced off so it was not great for pictures.

We enjoyed our brief visit to Granada. It was peaceful and quiet compared to the larger cities. The food wasn’t great but we stumbled on perhaps one of the best cocktail bars in Europe called 3 onzas. If we had more time, we would probably explore the outside of Granada but the city was worth visiting once.
