Currently on a flixbus traveling from Cologne to Paris. I paid for 2 seats. Not even halfway through the journey, a girl came to ask me whether she can sit beside me because she has no seat. Flixbus either oversold or had a bus that was not compatible to the original seat map. I asked to speak to the flixbus guy on board and he just started shouting loudly at me in German (I don’t understand German). Afterwards, the passenger behind me told me the flixbus guy was telling me to leave the bus as I was unwilling to give up my seat.
It is currently almost 3am outside and I am an asian female in my 20s. I find it absurd that the flixbus employee had the audacity to tell me (or anyone honestly) to get off in the middle of nowhere. I ended up giving my other seat to the girl because the passenger behind me said they’re gonna stop the bus if she doesn’t sit down.
This whole situation is absolutely not okay and I have 5 more hours on the bus. What should I do? What details should I demand or gather to ask for compensation after the journey?
Was supposed to take the Eurostar this afternoon but the train was cancelled due to a strike :/ first time on Flixbus and encountered such a negative experience. Great.
