Ibhave been travelling these last months (from the UK to Rumania, and now Morocco), and this time I visited Essaouria. As in every Moroccan Medina City I've been to, there is a charm: their narrow streets, the 800yr-architecture, the fast-paced of trading this and that, the air of the masses, of the specific activities taking place, empírical clues of the social machinery.
Great country, people are very nice and you can find extremely tasty food for a good price. I visited in August, so the weather was a bit warm (30-34celcius). Street vendors more relaxed than in other places such as Marrakech or Fez. You can buy fish in the market and then take it for having It grilled, for 10 dirham. I recommend.
