Mother (56, active) and self (28, active) planning their first international trip together (without other family members). We wanted something lower in budget, easier to get visas for (have a weak passport) and that is safe for women travellers, and won't require us to drive a rental car (only know how to drive on the left side). We plan to go around Sept/Oct. Thinking between Georgia and Uzbekistan, based on these factors. I know they are different experiences, but both seem quite beautiful. Anyone who has done both who can compare?
