As I sit at the boarding gate I hear repeated announcements from my gate and surrounding gates "this flight is full and there is insufficient space for carry on luggage"
It's because the airlines stuffed more seats in a plane than it was originally designed for.
And also many passengers have carry on bags way over the limit and personal items the size of carry on. You know who you are.
