My wife and I are planning a trip to Borneo.
The German Federal Foreign Office has issued a travel warning for the east coast of Borneo due to the presence of Philippine militant groups in the area.
However, I can't seem to find any recent reports about this in the news.
Has anyone been there recently? Is the risk real, or do you think the travel warning is overly cautious?
