I was excited to go to Niagara Falls with the family. I was planning the events to do once we were there for four days.
I booked the tickets for the boat ride, the reservations for the observation tower and the rides for transit once we get off the airport.
In all the commotion, I forgot my bag with all my clothes in it and just realized it once we were at the airport parking lot. The airport is two hours away from home with the flight starting in an hour.
This is 100% on me and I needed to vent it in case someone out there feels like an idiot for forgetting stuff. I’m an even bigger idiot. The family scolded me and called me an idiot for not realizing this.
It killed my hype for the trip and now it’s all awkward. I just want to go home now at this point.
I shouldn’t have become too complacent about having everything at the get go. Please do not rush and remember to remember before you go. Even when travelling with companions, be responsible for your stuff!
Luckily, I have my passport, driver’s ID and plane tickets in my personal hand carry.
