Just trying to see what people suggest, haven't been on a good vacation in a decade and me and my mom want a vacation by the beach with some water activities and good food and relaxation. I was taken to Destin, Florida years and years ago by a friend and loved it there but I kinda wanna see if we can go to a new place or state. I'm not against Florida as Ive heard their beaches are some of the best but if possible, id like to try a new place that we have never been to. Maybe Texas? California?
This is extremely early stages so our budget would probably aim for the mid range (3-6k USD) and probably looking at March-May of 2027 for a range of times to try and get a less crowded experience. I am aware though that everything is subject to change as well as there still being a lot of other tourists there (spring breakers, etc). I'm just trying to see what options there are for places with a nice beach for swimming, has water activities like snorkeling, and a good food scene as we love our food!
