I was looking into taking a trip to Banff and Canmore up in the Canadian Rockies for a winter wonderland trip, but the potential -20° F temperatures and cloud coverage keeping me from even seeing the surrounding mountains turned me off. I’m American so something a little closer to home (the Midwest) would maybe be more ideal. I’m open to something “classic” around Christmas like NYC, but curious to see if anyone has any other recommendations. I love the outdoors so something mountainous in the US would be great, but as previously stated could also see myself going somewhere like NYC.
Just curious to see if there were any hidden gems out there, or “can’t miss” places I haven’t thought of yet before deciding.
