Antalya trip, 2026

A recent family trip to Antalya with my wife and our 5yo daughter. She would happily spend the entire vacation by the sea; we tried to balance that with some exploring.

Kaleiçi was our warm-up: a walk around the marina and the old town. The marina was great at sunset; the old town - after dark.

Phaselis is an ancient port city surrounded by several beaches. We arrived around opening time to find a long line of cars. We assumed all these people had come for the ruins. Nope. Most were locals heading for a beach time. The ruins themselves are compact and take about an hour to explore.

Finally, Tünektepe. Truly enjoyed this trail. AFAIU, I can’t leave a link to my blog post here with the detailed story, so in short: the climb was difficult because of the August sun and 10+ kg on my shoulders. I got lost a bit and almost missed the sunset, but I managed to catch some good light, and the view itself was amazing.
