I spent 5 days in Quito in January. Absolutely amazing city, rich in history and Spanish architecture and interspersed with Andean culture. The people are warm and friendly, obviously very proud of their country and eager to show you more about it. It’s a little tough to sleep, given we’re 9,500 feet above sea level, and you feel exhausted if you’re walking fast. Nevertheless, I really appreciated the culture, coffee, and chocolate. A few sights and sounds.
