First time going to Yunnan. Flew into Kunming first, spent an afternoon wandering Park 1903 and then hit up the Dounan Flower Market. The flower market was insane, biggest I've ever seen, prices were ridiculously cheap and the whole place smelled incredible.
Then headed to Dali and picked up a trip package for it along the way. Stayed at a guesthouse right on the water with a full view of Erhai Lake. Woke up every morning to that and it never got old. Morning I just sat in a lakeside cafe doing nothing, staring at the water, drinking coffee. Sometimes that's the whole point of traveling.
Rented a bike and rode along the Erhai Ecological Corridor. Water on one side, mountains on the other. Easily the most peaceful afternoon of the trip.
Already want to go back.
