A day trip to Roma

I arrived to Termini station in the morning, from their I headed to Santa Maria Maggiore church, not knowing that, this is where the late Poe Francis the second has been buried. I am not religious, but it was still a moving experience and the church itself is also quite beautiful.

Then I headed to Santa Prassede church, which has beautiful mosaics and less touristy then other churches in the city.

From there I walked towards the Colosseum, which is still colossal and a sight to behold. Being short of time I didn't enter the Roman Forum, just walked around it.

From there I traveled to the downtown to hsve a lunch and some coffee. After the refueling I continued towards the Castel Sant' Angelo. I think from the top it has some of the most amazing views of the Vaticano, so it is worth the ticket's price.

From there I walked around Sain Peter's basilica and then headed home later with the train.
