Hi travellers.
Went on my first family trip and followed this route
Delhi > Srinagar > Pahalgam > Doodhpathri > Sonmarg > Gulmarg > Srinagar > Delhi.
Aru valley was absolutely spectacular and the weather made it really dreamy and surreal.
Doodhpatri was a day trip from Srinagar and got really hazy after a light shower.
Sonmarg too is a day trip from Srinagar and you can take a horse ride to thajiwas glacier or book a cab to zero point. The snow is almost gone so we chose thajiwas glacier for the best view.
The sheer amount of floral beauty in Gulmarg is unreal. Its almost hard to believe the diversity and the spread of flowers that go as far as eyes can see.
Was a memorable experience as this was our first family trip. Got really lucky with the weather and everything went smoothly which took a lot of burden off of my shoulders as I planned this trip.
Excited to go back and explore more off beat places.
