In autumn my husband and I took our faithful Robbie the van to explore Moldova. It's often said to be one of the least visited countries of Europe, but I star doubting as I have seen loads of beautiful posts about it on this sub!
We crossed the country in 5 days visiting on our way:
Soroca - Orheiul Vechi - Cricova - Chișinău - Gagauzia
It was beautiful, delicious and socially interesting trip with a lot of interesting architectural heritage.
Hightlights: the nature of Orheiul Vechi, a small village festival we stumbled upon by luck, modernist buildings of Chișinău and nights in our van in random places with a bottle of local wine.
The only downside: although we had no intention of visiting so-called Transnistria, we didn't do our research well enough and ventured towards Bender. Quickly bumped into check-points with russian military (which gave me nausea), and immediately made a turn. Thus the Bender visit was over.
The photos have legends.
