Hey all, I'm going through a career transition and looking to spend some time in Vietnam, about two weeks, to blow off some steam. I'd like to stay stuck in one place for most of it and really soak in the city instead of trying to see the whole country in half a month. Of course I'm down to venture outside the city, but probably nothing more than a day trip. I've seen Hoi An and the surronding area looks beautiful, but I worry I might get tired of it after two weeks, and on the other hand I worry that spending time in a big city like Hanoi will only realyl give me a city vibe and not show me the /real/ Vietnam. Any advice from people who have spent time there?
