We split our vacation time between Suriname and Guyana. For Suriname we spent our time in the Paramaribo area exploring the city and surroundings. For Guyana we spent most of our time in the South Rupanuni area both areas are really nice in their own respects. Paramaribo is easy to walk and very safe with lots of day trip options. The Rupanuni area is definitely a trek to get to but absolutely beautiful and worth it.
